2012 Annual Appeal
Religious education and ministry to our youth are responsibilities we all share, and ones that never end. Beginning with parents and extending to all members of our community, the call to make known the love of Christ and his holy Church is one challenge we must all accept.
Catholic education is unique because it seamlessly blends faith formation and an academically rigorous program. This excellent education should be accessible to all who truly seek it. With ever-increasing financial demands, making this a reality is a growing challenge. We must all help.
A gift to the Annual Appeal helps us at Church of the Resurrection Catholic School achieve our mission of providing the highest quality Catholic education to all our students. Your gift helps us:
*keep tuition increases to a minimum;
*continue to enhance our educational environment and academic programs;
*retain experienced and devoted teachers; and
*continue to offer faith formation to all members of our school community.
Dear RCS Parents, Grandparents, Alumni and Friends,
I am very pleased to lend my support to our school’s second Annual Appeal! This fundraising effort is crucial to the continued enhancement of our great school.
It has been my pleasure to serve on the RCS Board of Education since the fall of 2009. Serving has been a very enlightening and rewarding experience. It has also been challenging as many difficult decisions have had to be made in an effort to keep our school as affordable as possible. Thankfully, our parish has continued to significantly assist our school – both financially and in-kind.
One way that our parish works to keep tuition affordable for our families is through tuition support. This is true for ALL families, not just those who receive what we think of as traditional “financial aid.” The true cost of our children being students at RCS is actually higher than what each of us pays in tuition. The difference between the cost per pupil and the tuition is approximately $1,300 per student for this current school year! This is a tremendous amount of money that comes primarily from our parish, without which we could not operate. I ask you to consider a Bridge Builder gift to help us bridge the gap between tution and actual costs!
Our school has a tremendous support network of individual donors, many of them anonymous, who have supported and continue to support us through time, material, and cash donations which have helped us to remain a top education facility. These donors believe in our school and the mission of Catholic Education.
The Annual Appeal is an effort to reach out to our families and extended families who are able to do more. This year’s Annual Appeal goal is $50,000 – the same goal we had last year. We hope that those who can, will join the board and the staff in supporting this important effort. We have a very exciting future ahead of us at Church of the Resurrection Catholic School. We have begun the first stage of implementation of our iPad program, made possible through restricted donations. We are also excited about working through the 3 year IB certification process. Dr. Benedetti has brought some great energy and exciting concepts to our school. I am confident that these enhancements combined with the hard work of our wonderful staff will result in continued improvements to our already very excellent school! We are truly soaring to new heights.
Thank you for your support.
